I've also realised that cars can be hard to photograph and I was finding a sameness to my images that was frustrating me.

I've made what seems to me to be an obvious pivot: I'm now working on making portraits of the car owners with their cars.

It gives me the opportunity to chat with them about why they have that car - there's usually a good story - and I think I have been able to capture some of the passion and pride these folks have for their cars.

And there's an almost endless supply to photograph.
