Against the forces of fascism, we have ignited a spark.

A spark that just carried a formerly unheard of Democrat, Taylor Rehmet, to a shocking special election victory in a Texas state senate election in a district Trump carried by 17 points barely a year ago.

And it wasn’t close.

He won by 14 points, cementing a 31-point swing left, while being outspent by the millions, against a well known Republican who had Trump’s personal endorsement.

This is a disaster for Trump.

But carrying this spark through the midterms and through 2028 will take hard work. Discipline. And so many great candidates, supported by so many engaged voters.

Here’s how I’m thinking about it.
