Of course Pete Ricketts doesn’t support the Railway Safety Act. He’s taken $112,250 from Union Pacific Executives, $101,258.78 from BNSF, $101,000 from Union Pacific, 20,000 from Norfolk Southern, $15,000 from CSX, and $4,000 from the Association of American Railroads.
The Railway Safety Act – mandatory two-person crews, tighter spacing for wayside detectors, enough time to do inspections, and mandatory commodity flow reports – keeps our railroaders and communities safe. I support it. Ricketts does not.
