Personal Assistant (Eastside LA / Pasadena)

Seeking a highly capable, trustworthy personal assistant to support a writer, screenwriter, and artist based on the Eastside of Los Angeles (Pasadena and surrounding neighborhoods).

This is a paid, hourly position. The work is varied and often intimate in nature, requiring discretion, good judgment, and respect for privacy.

Required Qualifications:

• Native or near-native fluency in English

• Background in writing and/or editing; strong literary judgment

• Experience with screenwriting and familiarity with Final Draft

• Strong research skills

• Excellent personal organization and follow-through

• Working knowledge of gardening and basic plant care

• Comfortable and competent with dogs

• Willing and able to housesit and dogsit during travel

• Valid driver’s license and reliable car

• Based in or near Pasadena / Eastside Los Angeles

Ideal Candidate: You are friendly, observant, practical, and self-motivated. You can move easily between intellectual work (editing, research, screenwriting support) and hands-on tasks (errands, gardening help, dog care). You are comfortable working in close proximity with creative projects and personal routines and understand the importance of privacy, confidentiality, and discretion.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Writing, editing, and screenwriting support (including Final Draft)

• Research for creative and practical projects

• Scheduling, correspondence, and personal organization

• Fashion-related assistance

• Gardening assistance and plant care coordination

• Dog care, transport, and housesitting while the principal is traveling

• Errands and local driving

Bonus Skills (Not Required):

• Audio editing

• Sewing or tailoring

• French language proficiency

• Strong enough to lift boxes of books

• Interior design

Part-time to start, with potential to expand based on fit and availability.
