I saw The UFO Incident when I was 13 and it left me with a deep impression that alien abductions are a real thing. The feeling never left me. But I wouldn’t ordinarily raise the topic, or try to persuade someone, because I prefer not to seem crazy, even if harmlessly so. Now, of course though, there is political stigma as well: who wants his circle in Big Venn overlapping with Marjorie Taylor Greene’s? Not I. And so, late in life, I burrow more deeply into my alien believers closet.
