Speaking through tears from Gaza, journalist Bisan Owda says the devastation hasn’t stopped, even in moments without airstrikes.
Intense winds and heavy rain have brought down already‑damaged buildings onto families as they slept, unleashing chaos—screams, panic, and frantic searches through rubble illuminated only by phone lights.
Owda insists this is far from an isolated event. In recent weeks, multiple homes and tents have collapsed, killing and injuring civilians who have no safe shelter left.
She warns that claims the genocide has “ended” are completely disconnected from the reality on the ground. Israel’s blockade still blocks construction materials and essential tools, leaving Palestinians trapped in ruins where even basic survival remains uncertain.
