This week there’s been lots of data modelling. Building an olap model for metered billing. I’ve been playing Claude and Chat off against each other and found that they’re actually very aligned. And that’s not surprising, right?

What was surprising is how far I got with a paper exercise. I was able to hold the whole model in my head—tables, relationships, edge cases, constraints. The chats with Claude & Chat helped me externalize the thinking just enough to see the entire structure clearly. And have a log of it to refer back to.
