From death row in occupied Donetsk to an "open-air prison."

Four years after we were sentenced to death, I sat down once again with my former Ukrainian Marine comrade, Brahim Saadoun.

Many believed his ordeal ended with our prisoner exchange. It didn't. He still can't leave Morocco. He still doesn't have a passport. He's still fighting for the freedom most people assume he already has.

This is a story of survival, resilience, and a battle that didn't end with captivity.
