THIS is why I decided to use Substack for my newsletter. I used&connected my own domain (essential to make it easy to move in the future). It is the reason I am here, and the reason I recommend Substack to everyone (as long as you use your own domain).

If you decide to change: you can move, with ease, with all free+paying subscribers to Ghost, Beehiiv, or whatever custom site you want.

Show me another platform that allows this kind of portability. Not Twitter/X, not Medium, not Patetron, not any other ones.

I’m likely to stay until this remains true (or have the option to leave!) and almost certain to leave should it look to change. But it’s the core of Substack - always has, and (I hope) always will be.
