But the broader problem that I’ve also been meaning to write about is that 1) beauty “standards” are media creations and are only viable there rather than anyone enforcing them in real life and 2) women are the strongest enforcers despite men being more attracted to athletic or skinnier women. But another thing rarely said is that men don’t actually all WANT truly thin women. They are actually generally fine with curves that media would consider “fat”, and many prefer it even.
