When I was under the worst attack by the Canadian ostrich fascists, it was led by the Rumble celebrity and failed anti-vax parliamentary candidate Viva Frei. I have literally thousands of messages about my ugliness, age, stupidity, gender, body, professionalism, bangability (low), and general lack of humanity. I got a lot of rape threats along with the death threats. It has seriously contributed to my health issues, as has my institution’s lack of support.

Viva Frei—David Freiheit—is paid a lot of money to get views by doing the same thing to any woman he doesn’t like over divisive political issues. Find a wedge issue, attack an outspoken woman, and send an army of trolls to heap misogyny on her. It often will traumatize her out of the space and shut her up.

That is the point. It’s the business model. It works pretty well.
