I send videos to my Mayor in SF-Lurie who seems only capable of smirking even when he's in a bakery! I hope the inspo soaks in sooner rather than later. It seems that Mamdani is enjoying his job-the one he ran for as other Mayors do! As the Deputy Mayor said: "the presence of opportunity, dignity, and community." This value is completely missing from the usual austerity and budget cut measures we find ourselves subjected to and protesting. I often wonder why apply for the job if you don't want it? As Mamdani said when announcing the municipal grocery stores (I believe he was quoting La Guardia) " The task of the government is to make life better for the people".

He's the template for it-and the use of political WILL makes this clear-it is POSSIBLE.
