I just learned that half of U.S. adults can’t read a book written at the 8th-grade level (13 y/o). It makes sense why there are so many misunderstandings online. People aren’t able to understand inferences, sarcasm, or nuance. Some people genuinely can’t process complex ideas. Damn. Can we Make Reading Great Again?
