⚠️ America moved closer to the precipice last night

Overnight we learned that up to 1,500 soldiers from the 11th Airborne Division in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, have been put on standby for possible deployment to Minneapolis.

  • 🥶 These are troops specialized in cold weather operations who will be uniquely suited to the conditions in Minnesota right now.

Meanwhile, Governor Walz has mobilized the state’s National Guard for possible deployment to keep the peace.

  • 👩‍⚖️This move undermines Trump’s legal argument that the state is unwilling or unable to maintain order.

These latest moves by the Feds and the state are threats and legal maneuvering in the ongoing hybrid civil war. HOWEVER…

  • 💥 They also move us closer to a more traditional, kinetic confrontation between state and federal forces or between armed civilians and the government.

As I wrote this week, we are already in a hybrid civil war. But that does not preclude things getting much, much worse.

Overnight, we took another step in that direction.
