Activists are documenting forced transfers at the CoreCivic-run Otay Mesa detention center, where detained people are moved from facility to facility for profit and forced unpaid labor.

Many have not been convicted of anything.

Many have not even seen a judge.

Transfers cut them off from lawyers, family, and resources while private detention turns confinement into profit.

This is forced slave labor, family separation, and private prison profit.
