POLICE ATTACK A CHILD

A Waukesha police officer violently took a 14-year-old Black boy to the ground for riding a bike.

Within seconds, the officer had him face down in the grass, pressed a knee onto his neck, and deployed a Taser while the child was already pinned beneath him.

The officer had no problem with the boy’s three white friends. They were allowed to walk away. The Black child was treated like a threat.

Then the officer called for backup. Three more squad cars arrived for one restrained 14-year-old boy.

This was not public safety. It was racialized police violence against a child.
