THEY RAN ICE OUT
Black residents flooded an apartment courtyard, threw buckets of water at ICE agents, and forced them back before federal enforcement could turn their homes into another hunting ground.
The crowd did not wait for ICE to isolate one neighbor, control the scene, and make everyone else watch in fear. Residents poured outside together and disrupted the raid’s operating conditions before agents could establish them.
That collective force broke ICE’s strongest weapon: the belief that every targeted person will stand alone.
The residents made that power retreat.
