This is the new default browser prompt in iOS.

Browsers are selected and ranked at random with users able to select which one they prefer to comply with new EU legislation.

As well-intentioned as this might be, there's a risk here that non-tech savvy users get extremely confused about what this means.

I’d argue there's an implicit rule in design that the first ranking choices presented are "better" than the others - which could mean users end up picking a random browser nobody's heard of - and run into problems further along the line.

The average user hasn't heard of half of these browsers.
