How is a hospital meant to issue a death certificate for a dead baby without its body, or the foetus found in the rubble without her mother, who was either shredded or catapulted from her home?

No death certificate can be issued by a hospital in Gaza without producing the body. The hospitals are all but destroyed. That is how it is.

Palestinians are not numbers, especially not those massively under-reported numbers. Hundreds of thousands of souls lost in the rubble. A baby onesie filled with bones. A foetus lying in the rubble, her mother vanished without trace.
