The smear campaign directed at ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan KC, which led to him being removed from his post, reminds me of the treatment of Julian Assange.
Talking about the intimidation campaign, Khan said:

As David Hearst of DoubleDown News said, Karim Khan KC’s defining legacy remains the two ICC arrest warrants against war criminals Benjamin Netanyahu with his references to “Amalek” and Yoav Gallant, who referred to Palestinians as “human animals”.
