“As a real estate investor, I’ve read plenty of books that focus only on wins and make success sound easy. Robert’s book is different—and that’s exactly why it stands out. Through in-depth interviews with investors across multiple areas of real estate, he gives an honest look at both the successes and the struggles that come with this business.

I personally relate to many of the stories in this book. Robert doesn’t shy away from the hard parts—mistakes, setbacks, and tough decisions that separate long-term investors from those who quit after one or two deals. The real-life scenarios, complete with actual numbers and outcomes, make the lessons practical and believable, not theoretical.

This book is realistic, insightful, and incredibly valuable for anyone serious about real estate investing. Whether you’re just starting out or already in the trenches, it offers perspective, clarity, and motivation to stay in the game.”

About the Author Robert Sayre, a native of Boulder, moved to the East Coast in 1982 to work at a small book publishing company and then moved to the Lehigh Valley in 1988 to work at Rodale, Inc., as the business manager of its book division, with many great leaders and coworkers.

He is now semi-retired, an active investor in real estate, and a volunteer as a master gardener with the Penn State Extension Service, and he has studied and practiced tai chi for 15 years. He serves in the Environmental Advisory Committee of Lynn Township where he resides with his wife of 43 years.

He and his wife, Sally, a retired public school teacher have three children and five of the best grandchildren ever. They are as busy as can be, but they love controlling their own schedule and traveling in their Lance RV camper.
