The joy of coming home. Whenever I return to WV I like to enjoy my WV things; food, family, sports, nature and people. Today it is family,sports and food. I made it to Tomaro’s bakery and got 6 out of the oven. As I left the store, I jumped for joy and squeeled. I spun around and noticed someone sharing in my joy. I ran to him like an old friend to express my delight. He is the now owner of Tomaro’s. Thank you Mr. Oliverio for the sidewalk conversation. Next we ventured to the family homestead to discover the house had been torn down. This time a neighbor came out to have a different conversation. A conversation about the difficult side of life that the resilient people of WV face daily. WV l love you and I know we are getting better.
