Russia lost an estimated 352,000 troops from the start of the full-scale war through the end of 2025, according to calculations by Russian media outlets.

Russian journalists confirmed the deaths of 261,000 servicemen, while another estimated 90,000 were listed as missing. The report does not include data on foreign nationals or those who went missing between July and December 2025.

According to Ukraine’s General Staff, Russia has lost 1.3 million troops killed and wounded in the war against Ukraine.
