Why should one feel the need to protect personal beliefs when encountering something or someone who believes differently? What about another expressing their beliefs challenges yours? You have to ask yourself that question. That’s the nature of Faith, and a faith that cannot be challenged or tested isn’t really faith. It’s sliding into dogma and theology. Someone believing something different is rarely a challenge to your own, not if you’re honest. The only time it seems to be a challenging experience is when confronted with Christian proselytizers who exist in a framework where a different belief is sin. That is a religion of fear. That is religion….

Impinging on another’s free will is my definition of sin, a concept I barely embrace, because it’s historically used to control and oppress. There is evil. It looks like hate and intolerance.
