This was incredibly dangerous, but also an extraordinary act of courage.

Two Ukrainian soldiers suffered open fractures during a successful assault and required urgent evacuation. As they were being evacuated by a ground drone, a Russian FPV drone struck the vehicle, leaving the wounded soldiers exposed in the open.

Seeing what had happened, Vladyslav Polskyi, commander of an assault company in the 475th Regiment “Code 9.2,” jumped into a pickup truck without even putting on body armor and drove at high speed directly into the strike zone.

He reached the damaged ground drone, single-handedly transferred the wounded soldiers into his pickup, and drove them to safety, saving the lives of his fighters.

When his wounded brothers were left exposed, Polskyi didn’t wait. He went after them himself.
