I think once we acknowledge the power to become great at any art lies within all of us, we become unstoppable forces in our own lives. Because then our accomplishments can only belong to us, and not to the vague “natural talent” people ascribe to us or themselves. If we acknowledge we can ALL learn to play beautiful piano, then the responsibility is on us whether we WANT to or not. Whether we want to put in the work. I, for one, do not currently have a desire to pick up guitar playing. That does not mean I am not capable of doing so.
