hi loves. here are six moments in phone photos from yesterday, april 2, 2026. daylight in da nang, vietnam, where I now live live.

I swapped the long winter years, mountains and an incredibly well-stocked kitchen for sun, noodles, the ocean, fruit. coffee. time. all worthwhile lives.

1) an early mỳ quảng lunch on the cityside (where I’m based)

2) pausing at pineapples at Chợ Bắc Mỹ An [market] after biking across to the other side of town. they’re a bit higher in priced and not in season. I was stopping, thinking, glad for all my mango at home. : ) making chutney tonight. channa masala, sooner than later.

3) what a place to live. fresh produce every single day.

4) I did stop for fresh tofu at this tofu maker.

5) then, I biked to No Waste to Go, the bulk/zero waste store by the river, for a few spices for the chutney, and life.

6) sitting and chilling at (another) cafe in Mỹ An that I’d never been to before. I ordered a cà phê đen đá Sài Gòn and brought my own fresh coconut/soymilk from another shop. really, truly.
