ICE Agent Christian Castro was arrested in Texas on Friday and is now facing four counts of second-degree assault and one count of falsely reporting a crime in the shooting of Julio Sosa-Celis in another immigration enforcement surge in Minnesota.

Castro allegedly shot through the front door of a house Sosa-Celis had entered while fleeing, and the Justice Department initially charged Sosa-Celis with assault. The Justice Department later dropped the charges after acknowledging that the officers involved had made false statements about the apprehension.

Castro is the second federal agent to be charged for actions taken during the enforcement surge in Minnesota, and no one has yet been charged in the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
