When questioning the financial sanity of AI -trillions invested in infrastructure with seemingly no chance of returns- we tend to assume it must eventually justify itself within the existing capitalist framework. But what if that assumption is wrong? What if AI isn’t being built merely to generate profit within the system, but to help reshape or even replace the system itself? Automated power for the few. Economic irrelevance for the many. It kinda sounds like science fiction until you follow the logic of capital, control, and technological consolidation to its natural conclusion. Just a thought…
