As a Reiki practitioner, sound engineer, and someone who has studied frequency for nearly two decades, I’ve long wrestled with a fundamental inconsistency in the Reiki system: the musical notes traditionally associated with the chakras are aligned with the standard 440Hz tuning—outside of the Solfeggio scale.

From my perspective, this is a significant misalignment. The Solfeggio scale, attributed to Pythagoras, is based on mathematically harmonious frequencies. When broken down to their simplest vibratory forms, these frequencies resonate at 7.83—the same frequency as the Schumann Resonance, often referred to as the Earth’s natural heartbeat. It’s also the same frequency as the Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF).

I believe it’s time we realign our energetic systems with the Earth’s frequency—both for healing and harmony.
