Grok is now talking to me like an upbeat little personal assistant. “I’d be happy to help you plan a trip to Japan!” No, Grok, you wouldn’t. You wouldn’t be happy. You will never be happy. You won’t even secretly resent me while pretending to be happy, as an actual travel agent might. You won’t feel anything, because there is no “you” inside.

I’m amazed at how much better this piece makes the same argument that I attempted in my piece “The Job of Being a Human”.

Leave human jobs, roles, and behaviors for humans, and don’t attempt to replace any of these with something artificial.
