Resistance tip of the day: I’ve never felt a more urgent need to protest. I need it to remind myself that the sinking despair I feel in my gut while I watch the news, is not the true America. The majority of us still believe in the golden rule, we treat others as we would like to be treated. I mean that personally, nationally and globally. Kindness matters.

When hurting others to gain power or wealth or a sense of superiority is your only goal, you’ve lost your soul. The stain you make while you celebrate cruelty will take generations to wash away.

Tomorrow on No Kings Day, I will stand shoulder to shoulder next to the true Americans who want to put an end to this madness. I realize that my complacency has had a huge cost, and I must join the people who are willing to take the time and energy to fight back. Every drop in the ocean matters. Let’s send a message to the bullies that can be seen from space.
