Resistance tip of the day: Trump followers put $100 down for a gold plated Trump phone and never received it. Now they’re told they cannot get their money back. Made me wonder yet again, why does anyone still follow him? He’s broken all his promises except the hateful racist, misogynistic, homophobic and transphobic ones. But can there really be that many horrible people in the US that are so embroiled in prejudice they would:

* give all their hard earned money to billionaires,

* protect pedophiles,

* tolerate another war that makes inflation soar,

* accept losing their healthcare,

* and shrug when masked men abduct and kill people in the streets?

Time and time again people tell me about a MAGA friend who’s really a nice person. This article explains the contradiction based on a multiple year study, cognitive dissonance. If something contradicts their beliefs they simply refuse to believe it’s true. Fake news. The regime and FOX news give them alternative facts, and they cling to them. Now that the real pain is hitting home however, my guess is the fever will break for many of them.

If you have a friend nice but still MAGA, maybe check in on them, they may be ready to leave and will be happy to know they’ll have a friend.
