Angleton, Texas—Attorney Michael M. Phillips repeatedly used the N-word during a family court proceeding. In open court. In front of a judge. The judge warned him to stop. Then outside the courthouse, community activists led by Quanell X confronted him. Phillips had nothing to say. No apology. No explanation. Just 'I'm not allowed to comment.'
