The National Archives building in Chicago is closing and they have not said what will happen to the records inside. No plan for the documents. No timeline. No public announcement. This is not just a building. These are historical records, property records, military files, immigration documents, and more. If they move them without transparency we could lose access permanently. This affects researchers, genealogists, families, and historians. I am asking journalists and newsrooms to look into this. Where are the records going? Who made this decision? Why was the public not told?
