Douglas Murray has nothing to say about the free speech issues raised by Mahmoud Khalil’s arrest but finds time to mock Khalil’s US citizen wife for expressing horror at the way her husband was whisked away and kept incommunicado for days. He called her a “brat”.

He says this was “law enforcement doing its job” - as if cops arrived to arrest Khalil for a crime. In fact, Khalil was apprehended by immigration plainclothes officers and no one has charged him with a crime.
