Just posted our event to celebrate John Lewis’ birthday on Friday. Combined with the recent murders by ICE and other horrific events, it is the perfect time to come out and be heard.

I believe we are fast approaching a tipping point - the pivot at which the resistance becomes formidable and unstoppable - and with good reason. This government has been robbing us and working to crush us for long while but not ever to the extent it is now. It seems Republicans have been punching above their class for some time and Democrats aren't far behind. Government was never meant to be a career or a path to riches, which it has become. Ridiculous. They are feasting on our labors.

This is untenable, now that they've exposed themselves by removing the mask of civility. These are merchants of misery who use their wealth to keep us in line, subjugated and needy. They've achieved the position where we must beg them for the means of our very existence and they gloat over this prowess. But … we have something they've overlooked. The majority of us are compassionate hard-working people who believe in fairness and opportunity.

We can no longer buy what they are selling because it requires our silence in our suffering. Now is the time to rise up and demand everybody's fair share of our country's richness - the environment, the innovation, the solidarity, the joy in our living in a country that has persisted only in our collective imagination for too long.
