Hello here is today’s quote, comment and a photo that makes me smile, it was taken at the rose garden here in Portland. I missed posting yesterday and also a few days before that. In the past I would have beat myself up for not following through but I have learned that some days my body cannot follow through with my intent. I just wanted to share that so people don’t think I forgot to post. Although, I am finding stenosis in the neck does seem to impact the ability to think or process sometimes. I found myself confused while driving home from my visit with my daughter and granddaughter yesterday. My confusion at a red light and the line marking where I was to stop being very faded with age I stopped in the wrong place. I couldn’t find the line. This, of course caused the police officer I looked to for help to pull me over for a conversation and a peek at my license. I have never had that happen before, feeling that confused while driving a route I have driven hundreds of times. All I could hear as I finished my drive was my neurologist’s surprise when I had told him I driven myself to my appointment with him a couple weeks ago. Yes, I now understand the impact on my thinking as well as my pain levels this cervical stenosis is causing and maybe the treatment isn’t working as well as I thought. And now I have to have a long talk with my doctor and my family. I feel so much emotion right now, at the heart of it was “what if my confusion had caused someone to be hurt!” That would be more than I want to live with. Anyway, here is today’s quote:

Thoughts: I suppose that for today that quote means that nobody can take my serenity unless I let them. Not the noise of repairs outside my door, not our current “crazy” feeling politics, not even a policeman who pulls me over in a moment of confusion and than allows me to drive away. Blessings ♥️
