Hello, here is today’s quote. The photo was taken on the Northern Oregon Coast if I remember correctly. I do remember we were able to drive down onto the beach.

“You must keep your feet grounded so firmly on the earth that it’s like you have four legs, instead of two. That way, you can stay in the world. But you must stop looking at the world through your head. You must look through your heart instead. That way, you will know God.”
- Elizabeth Gilbert
Musings: Four legs instead of two, that feels solid and sturdy. I often see myself as an ancient tree when I meditate. My roots run wide and deep planting me in the dark, rich, moist soil of our Mother Earth. My bark, my trunk are strong yet flexible so that I bend but don’t break in a mighty wind. My limbs, they stretch high and wide so that I may live with and protect as many creatures as I can hold. And I enjoy a synchronized dance in a spring breeze with my fellow leaved and needled beings as the tips of my green shrouded limbs sway and touch and play with the trees I am surrounded with. But yes, four legs works too. Wink, wink! The point being that life is not lived via algorithms we are called to get down and dirty as we immerse ourselves in life full time. It’s life we do while working and it’s life we do when on vacation or at the grocery store or laying in a bed in the hospital. Life, beautifully, unpredictable life! Sure, make a plan but don’t be chained to it. Laugh often and laugh loud at the silly things we all do sometimes to try to ‘control’ life. One can be amazed by what the Divine might offer up to us once we have prepped the soil. We might think we are going one way but everything opens up for us to go in another direction. It feels kind of insane yet following our heart can feel that way, it feels a bit magical until we get used to it and learn that it is just life not magic at all. Like floating down a river, you know generally where you are going but who knows where your attention will become fixed on a quick stop or side trip along the way, that may be just what we need next in our Life’s journey. Blessings ♥️
