“To the people of Minnesota:

You have proven to the world that love beats hate.

The small people who brought that hate to our state are leaving….so they say….and they are so small they can’t admit they were wrong, or that they are sorry for the death and distruction. That’s deeply disappointing, and dishonest, but not a surprise.

What we know, and the world now knows, is that we have extraordinary power when we are together.  And I hope that gives us even more power to keep standing for what we see with our own eyes and what our hearts tell us is right.

Minnesotans are pretty good but Minnesotans togther are Pretti Good….and that’s really great.

Hate doen’t die easily. Stay on guard.  But let’s also wrap our arms around each other and remember:

On a frozen playing field, we have bent that long arch of the moral universe a little more toward justice.”
