Since Trump proclaimed that he could shoot someone on Fifth Ave., we’ve seen some crazy—if not cult-like—behavior from his most die-hard followers. I’ve read stories about anti-vaxxers drinking their own urine to avoid getting the jab, and I’ve watched videos of people wearing adult diapers to Trump rallies in solidarity with his alleged incontinence. This latest leak of Epstein emails is another inflection point, and 25%-30% of America will continue to fail have their coming to Jesus moment.

I’m not even outraged to see MAGA pundits or supporters scramble to rationalize pedophilia. There’s no point in calling out hypocrisy because these people lack shame. There is no level of debasement they won’t subject themselves to because they feel like it is their patriotic duty and unenlightened self-interest to perpetuate Trump’s self-interest, because they view it as a proxy for their own narrow-minded benefit. The point and principle of MAGA is to blur the distinction between the two.

Mentally and emotionally, I’m at a point where I recognize it for how pathetic it truly is. These people, at their very core, are cucks. They have been reduced by their petty grievances, refracted spite, and studiously cultivated ignorance. They have no leg to stand on in demanding that I, or anyone on the left, extend them any respect, when they clearly don’t respect themselves.
