Tennessee built its economy on one thing: people spending money.
No state income tax sounds great… until you realize the entire system depends on consumers constantly buying, traveling, eating, shopping, and working without disruption.
That means the people have more power than they think.
Memphis moves America’s packages. Nashville sells America’s entertainment. Tennessee factories build America’s cars.
But none of it works if the people being targeted, ignored, or politically silenced decide to stop participating the same way.
A boycott is not just emotion.
It’s economic pressure.
And in Tennessee, economic pressure hits FAST.
If a state profits from Black labor, Black culture, Black tourism, and Black dollars… then Black voting power should not be treated like a problem to erase.
The real question is simple:
What happens when the people funding the system stop feeding it?
