Norway has launched the world’s first nighttime panoramic train for viewing the Northern Lights. According to Euronews, the train features glass-roofed carriages that allow passengers to watch the aurora borealis in warmth and comfort while traveling through the Arctic landscape. The route runs from Narvik, a town in northern Norway, and operates during the aurora season between October and March, when the lights are most visible.

According to The Independent, it uses eco-friendly practices that align with Norway’s commitment to green tourism. Passengers can enjoy guided cultural and historical insights during the journey, making the trip more than just a visual spectacle. Stops are also included so travelers can step outside and experience the lights directly under the Arctic sky.
