China is not outspending us. They’re outsmarting us.
I, like many others, want America to maintain its technological advantage over any country. But winning does not mean mistaking more infrastructure for better strategy.
China is learning how to do more with less; they are building leaner models, lowering costs, deploying faster, and focusing on real-world applications.
The U.S. response cannot simply be limited to “build more.” It has to be “think better.”
Before we add another billion-dollar facility to generate, store, and process even more data, maybe we should ask a more important question: why is the data we already have not producing better decisions?
