While researching Section 219 of the U.S./Israel/military/tech integration for a video, I stumbled across a fascinating and strangely familiar collection of documents from the 1980s... the real Star Wars prequel, as it turns out, lives in a Reagan Library dossier.

It’s a collection of clippings, documenting Israel’s entry into Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative(SDI) through joint research, missile-defense contracts, and tours of Israeli defense companies. While mockingly referred to by media as the “Star Wars project”, the parallels with today are difficult to miss.

It even features a special shout-out to Israel’s [then] Minister of defense, Yitzhak Rabin, who has since become a muse for Tel Aviv’s [current] Sith Lord, Benjamin Netanyahu & inspired the name behind Larry Ellison’s cat, Yitzhak. Which seems healthy.

Now, four decades later, Congress is back at it; only this time has traded space mirrors and Star Wars for data fusion and Stargate LLC.
