I don’t understand why people are acting surprised that thousands of influential MAGA accounts on Twitter are being traced back to Russia.

Putin has been running bot farms to influence U.S. politics for more than a decade.

But when Jack Dorsey’s team finally started cracking down — identifying and removing Russian propaganda networks — the Kremlin was furious. And right on cue, Elon Musk suddenly appeared and offered to buy the platform.

It should shock no one that Kremlin-linked investors helped finance that deal.

It should shock no one that Elon immediately reversed those anti-propaganda measures the moment he took over — letting the Russian bot networks back on the platform.

And it should shock no one that Elon was caught having back-channel conversations with Putin.

None of this is surprising.
