The way people are treated in federal detention facilities is not a gray area. It is a human issue, and it demands accountability. Oversight is not optional when people’s safety and dignity are on the line. When systems operate without transparency, harm follows. That’s why staying informed is not just helpful, it’s necessary. A just society is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable. If we lose sight of that, we lose something much bigger than policy. So keep paying attention. Keep asking questions. Keep the pressure where it belongs. Because silence is what allows these systems to continue unchecked.
