🚨The New York Appellate Division has ruled in favor of Governor Kathy Hochul - Mandatory Quarantine is Legal
This is a huge blow to liberty and part of a much greater play. New York wasn't the only state with this type of bill pending.

What's the bill?
Assembly Bill A416:
Relates to the removal of cases, contacts and carriers of communicable diseases who are potentially dangerous to the public health...What's this vaguery mean?
Rule 2.13: “Isolation and Quarantine Procedures” will give the state of New York the ability to come in your home and take you away to quarantine without any notice and for any virus or infection they deem necessary.

Washington State: WAC 246-100-040 through -060
“At his or her sole discretion, a local health officer may issue an emergency detention order causing a person or group of persons to be immediately detained for purposes of isolation or quarantine,” the proposed bill’s text reads. “A local health officer may invoke the powers of police officers, sheriffs, constables, and all other officers and employees of any political subdivisions within the jurisdiction of the health department to enforce immediately orders given to effectuate the purposes of this section.”US Federal Government: Under section 361 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S. Code § 264), the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services is authorized to take measures to prevent the entry and spread of communicable diseases from foreign countries into the United States and between states.
ORS 433.128:
Oregon has the legal authority to quarantine and isolate.
CDC:
CDC has the legal authority to detain any person who may have a contagious disease that is specified by Executive Order to be quarantinable.
