It shouldn’t go unremarked upon that last night the President of the United States went on national television and said that 2 of the 4 major television networks should have their broadcast licenses revoked - and I’m going to guess that most of you didn’t hear about it from your usual news sources.

So a quick survey for my followers, what do you think is the most remarkable aspect of this story:

A ) The President of the United States went on national television and said that two of the four major television networks should have their broadcast licenses revoked, which would leave just two major television networks in this country, both of which have editorial ties to his political allies.

B ) The government officials with the responsibility for carrying out revocation of broadcast licenses, and who can be dismissed at will by the President of the United States, have given no indication of carrying out what the President of the United States just said should happen on national television.

C ) Americans no longer expect that what the President of the United States says in a nationally televised address bears any relationship to the government actions that will actually follow.

D ) Some other aspect of this story is even more remarkable that the above three (share your ideas in the comments).
