Yes, the GOP has been stealing elections for decades.

The move from paper ballots to electronic voting equipment owned by far-right interests was specifically to give the GOP the ability to control election outcomes.

The “hanging chads” debacle in 2000 wasn’t a failure; it was a manufactured crisis. They deliberately used faulty paper ballots that would jam in the equipment—then held that up as proof we “needed” electronic systems. Bush then funneled billions to the states through the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) in 2002.

Elections are the very foundation of a functioning democracy. And until we confront this corruption directly, we’ll continue to run on the GOP’s hamster wheel.
